Last Sunday, our parishioner Augustin was ordained a reader in the Church of the Icon of Mother of God of Diveyevo. The ordination was performed by our rector, The Most Reverend Ir\u00e9n\u00e9e<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rite of chirothesia<\/a> (ordination) took place at the beginning of the liturgy in the middle of the church in front of all those present. After being tonsured by the Archbishop and a special prayer, Augustin put on a sticharion<\/a>. Then our new reader read a passage from the Apostle and bowed before the Archbishop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
