Dans l\u2019Eglise des premiers si\u00e8cles, toute offrande, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de vin liturgique, d\u2019huile, de cierges, etc., on appelait <em>la prosphore<\/em>. Les diacres notaient les noms des chr\u00e9tiens apportants les prosphores pour en faire la comm\u00e9moration pendant la Liturgie.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La prosphore, de nos jours, est un petit pain compos\u00e9 de deux parties \u2013 sup\u00e9rieure et inf\u00e9rieure, qui symbolisent les deux natures du Christ \u2013 divine et humaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le Christ se dit \u00ab&nbsp;le pain de vie&nbsp;\u00bb et \u00ab&nbsp;le pain vivant descendu du ciel&nbsp;\u00bb. L\u2019Eglise, lors de la Liturgie, nous propose de manger ce Pain vivant qui est la Chair et le Sang du Seigneur (Jn. 6&nbsp;: 48-53).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans l\u2019Ancien Testament, la repentance et un sacrifice sanglant \u00e9taient n\u00e9cessaires pour le pardon de p\u00e9ch\u00e9. Cependant, dans le Nouveau Testament, Jean le Baptiste, d\u00e9signant le Christ, l\u2019appelle <em>l\u2019Agneau de Dieu<\/em>, \u00ab&nbsp;qui enl\u00e8ve le p\u00e9ch\u00e9 du monde&nbsp;\u00bb (Jn. 1&nbsp;: 29). Les Juifs, \u00e9coutant le saint Jean-Baptiste, comprenaient exactement de quel Agneau parlait le proph\u00e8te. Ils comprenaient aussi \u2013 quoi ou, plut\u00f4t, Qui pr\u00e9figuraient tous les sacrifices v\u00e9t\u00e9rotestamentaires. C\u2019est pourquoi la prosphore qui, pendant la Liturgie, devient la substance du sacrement de l\u2019Eucaristie, est appel\u00e9e <em>Agneau.<\/em> &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une croix et une inscription&nbsp;: IC XC \/ NI KA (J\u00e9sus Christ \/ Vainqueur) sont grav\u00e9es sur le haut de l\u2019\u00ab Agneau&nbsp;\u00bb. Le Vainqueur du p\u00e9ch\u00e9 et, cons\u00e9quence de la Chute, le Vainqueur de la mort.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La cuisson de la prosphore est une activit\u00e9 semblable \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9criture d\u2019une ic\u00f4ne puisque le nom du Christ, la Croix, le nom ou l\u2019image de la M\u00e8re de Dieu, ainsi que les images d\u2019autres saints, sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9s sur une prosphore.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tous les vendredis \u00e0 17h00, dans le r\u00e9fectoire de notre \u00e9glise (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.orthodoxchurchrawdon.ca\/?page_id=415\" title=\"\">voir l&rsquo;adresse<\/a>) nous apprenons \u00e0 cuisiner des prosphores.
