A new reader ordained

Last Sunday, our parishioner Augustin was ordained a reader in the Church of the Icon of Mother of God of Diveyevo. The ordination was performed by our rector, The Most Reverend Irénée.

The rite of chirothesia (ordination) took place at the beginning of the liturgy in the middle of the church in front of all those present. After being tonsured by the Archbishop and a special prayer, Augustin put on a sticharion. Then our new reader read a passage from the Apostle and bowed before the Archbishop.

We wish our Augustin to fulfill his ministry with all reverence and patience! Spiritual and physical strength for many good years!
